My Story
My name is Camila.
I’m from Chile, and I moved to Australia in 2022.
I’ve always loved hats, not just as accessories, but as a way of expression.
When I arrived in Sydney, many of mine were damaged in my luggage, and I couldn’t find anything similar that truly felt like me. The styles felt minimal, while mine had always been expressive and full of detail.
So instead of trying to fit in with the styles around me, I began creating what I couldn’t find.
Each piece is hand-styled with intention and care.
Kaia Numa was born from choosing myself in a new place and trusting my instinct to create something that truly feels like me.
Kaia means land in greek.
Numa means friend in garifuna.
Together, Kaia Numa is a reminder that even in unfamiliar places, you can create something that feels like home.
